APICS Dayton and Sinclair Partnership

We are pleased to announce that the Dayton Chapter of APICS, in partnership with Sinclair Community College’s Workforce Development Division, is teaming up to offer the APICS CSCP and CPIM Certification Review Courses in 2013. The initial offering will be two classes, Basics of Supply Chain Management (CPIM) and Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP). Additional CPIM courses will be offered in the future provided we have enough people sign up for the Basics course and they begin to progress through the certification process.

We made the decision to team up with Sinclair to because we felt that this would be a win/win scenario for both parties. As most of you are aware, the Dayton Chapter's membership ranks have been declining over the years. We also have a high percentage of members that are certified. Those facts, coupled with the poor economy, the past few years has negatively impacted enrollment in our training programs. By partnering with Sinclair we have the opportunity to tap into Sinclair's strong marketing presence in the Miami Valley. We will also have access to Sinclair's training facilities in downtown Dayton and they will handle most of the administrative tasks associated with the classes. We are also investigating the possibility of Sinclair administering the computer-based CPIM and CSCP exams. We are optimistic that this partnership will produce increased enrollment levels and improved services for our members.

Chapter Events

Professional Development Meetings (PDM's)

Professional Development Meetings (PDM's) Professional Development Meetings are typically held monthly. Local, regional and national speakers are featured presenting assorted topics of interest to today's operations professionals. Meetings are held at the Courtyard Marriott, 2006 South Edwin C Moses Boulevard, Dayton Ohio. Registration starts at 5:30 PM and the meeting begins at 6:00 PM.
